Sneezing turnoffs
« on: February 16, 2009, 12:32:03 AM »
Can't really make this one into a poll. It's rather small ranged on things...

What, if anything, is a big turn-off for you in furry sneeze art.

For me, messiness beyond a very minor point, especially with heavier fluids, is a big turn-off. Aside from that, any pausing in the flow, where the sneeze goes away fully and they return to a normal expression, without actually having sneezed, is a big big big turnoff. I hate that. It's like having sex and then suddenly just cold stopping.

Haven't been able to think of anything else right now... though a very-clearly-male character usually doesn't do much for me. Gender-ambiguous/gender-neutral characters don't really bug me tho.

I suppose for the most part, just messiness for me. I don't particularly want a depiction of snot and stuff when I see a sneeze. Anything else is okay for me, I'm open to male or female.

Ah..I can't really think of anything, actually..I'm disappointed when the sneeze never actually occurs, sure, but it's not a turn-off, as I've said before I love the build, and leaving things to the imagination makes it more fun ;3

Being sneezed ON is kind of a turn-off, to me. At least sometimes. Other than that... Can't really think of anything. X3

Some of us will live, some of us will die
But if it means saving all your lives
Then I will gladly die

XP well, my sneezing turn-off would have to be people making me sneeze and they don't get their fair share of sneezing back XP Well, that isn't much of a turnoff for me, but Iwanna fair share if you know what I mean XP

Sneezes caused by colds/excessive snot.  Just... ick.
Feel free to give me a message sometime.  I'm almost always up for a little RPing, or story ideas.

Hm, turnoffs:

- Really loud sneezes.

- Cough-like sneezes.

- Sneezes that are so tiny and rapid it's like "Tch! Tch! Tch! Tchh! Tch!"

- Sneezing on purpose to get me aroused -- I like the *vulnerability* part, so if someone is using it on me, they're not vulnerable, so I'm not aroused.

- Very snotty sneezes.  I like a lot of spray, but not a lot of snot.

- Sneezes from rude/mean people.  I just can't enjoy the sneeze if it comes from someone who is a jerk.

- Sneezes that all sound exactly the same.  Mostly the same is fine, but some variation is important.

Ahem... >>; I'm not picky, no, not a bit. ^^;

Hmm, i think the messyness is my biggest turnoff. i prefere to see them trying to  hold it in or trying to keep theres open. the facial expression it makes is pricless X3

a turn off for me would be really messy sneezes. A little spray or snot is ok, but there's a point of being grose. I also don't like it when the nose runs afterwards. uck.
I also don't like long, loud sneezes. Little "tck" like sneezes are cute, but big, long, drawn out sneezes like Achoooooooooooo just annoy me.

Messiness, but specifically from illnesses.  I dislike illness based sneezes in general, just because... well... yuck.  I hate disease, and if someone is sick I don't want them spraying it all over the place...
Spray from allergies is okay with me though.

Ah yes..double that , double that. As for a turn of? Me!? HAH! Um, nothing really im really all goes. Messy beyond belief, illness, long prolonged edgeing on a sneeze, redness, stuff poking up there its all good in my regard. If i ever thing of one ill let ya all know.

Any type of messiness turns me off. Unfortunately, lots of sneezy art includes mess  :(
There is a demon inside all of us.
Some are born awoken.
Others are still asleep.
However, on the night of the full moon,
When you sacrifice your soul to the gods,
And your blood is shed,
Then your demon shall awake.

Well there's mess in a mucus sense, and mess in a mild moistness sense, which isn't actually messy in a standard sense. I see wetness a lot but not so much mucus. And I don't like mucus personally either.

I'm not really a huge fan of gobs of snot.
Kinda.... just kills the cuteness.

Hm. There seems to be a lot of anti-mucous sentiment here. I for one do not mind sensible quantities of serous mucous, infectious or otherwise. On the other hand, the apparently purulent mucous in violent shades of yellow and green that seems to be standard in cartoony media is a definite turn-off. Yech.

I also dislike over-statement of any sneeze component (ridiculously large sneezes, gratuitous chest expansion, etc.) Although these aren't really turn-offs, just distracting and unexciting.

Generally I'm pretty open.

I have to agree, mucous, especially green is not nice in sneezes, and I second what Kitsune said about not liking sneezes that are like coughs, adding that I'm not fond of wide open mouth sneezes for the same reason. Clear nose spray is fine but I dont like mouth spray.

And yeah, sneezes that don't happen or get stopped mid build only to happen after without build are a real cop out.
furries and sneezing just fits together so perfectly.
