Is anyone else seeing them with breakneck speeds, even the old original ones? O.o

They seem to be running pretty fast on my mac. I'm fairly sure gif playback speed is not 'restricted' so to speak, meaning a much faster comp will play them faster unless frame pauses are added appropriately
furries and sneezing just fits together so perfectly.

Yes.  Must be the windows 7.  I, too, upgraded.
Feel free to give me a message sometime.  I'm almost always up for a little RPing, or story ideas.

THIS IS SOOOOO COOOOOOL!!! I've been wondering if something like this was ever going to get put together! Does this mean we're going to see a whole bunch of new ones? I'd encourage everyone to post whatever animations they make! I've already got an idea for a few in mind ^_^

Also the browser type seems to affect animation speed as well as OS, just thought I'd mention that.

03-18-11: Just finished up a new batch of edits. I also started a very detailed changelog outlining everything I've been editing. The February edits are a little light on details, but the edits for today are outlined to the very frames that were edited and how I edited them.

Original: Hey guys, I've got some fantastic news for you. Over the last few days I was struck with a bat of inspiration and knowledge, and through this realization came progress. Attached is the first fruit of said progress. Go ahead, scroll down and look. I'll wait.

Back yet?

There we go. It's story time. Yep, it's Wolfie, from one of the oldest animations in the database, and one of the very few done from a fetish angle. The artist who drew them was in contact with me over the e-mail StoargeStorage@aol.com though I have not heard back from him for several years. I never got an alias for the guy, so they've been in the archive under Unknown / Anon. There were a few other animations he had, including one of a griffon, and a back view of Wolfie. Sadly, I lost those animations, and as of the last contact I had with Storage, he also lost all of his animation related files in a hard drive failure. That included any master file for the two animations that we have.

Figuring the animation out had always seemed to be a daunting task when I looked at it, and I had no idea how to approach it. Until recently when I learned that Image Ready had been integrated into Photoshop. Through layer renaming and groups, I isolated the unique frames, and recorded what frames they turned into. The end result was 100-150 unique frames between the two animations. What does this mean for everyone else? Remixes of the Wolfie animation done how you want them. Don't like the mess? Leave it out! Want more build-up? Add more delays! Like torturing her with pepper? You've got quite a few options!

There's one other benefit. In addition to remixing the existing frames, adding new ones and editing the existing ones is now incredibly easy. You can add a flower to the sniff scene, or add in a new build-up expression. Or even try and color it. ^_^

So without any further delays, the gates are now open - http://sneezefurs.org/wolfie/ - Make sure to read the How To if you want to try and make your own - http://sneezefurs.org/wolfie/(How%20To)%20Animating%20Wolfie!.txt

I don't know what Gimp version was used by Megacycle, but Gimp is definitely not the program I would recommend. If you can, find a torrent for Adobe Photoshop CS3. It's the easiest one to install and crack, and unless you're using it commercially, no one will care. I also assume you mean scanner, or that your printer has a built in scanner...

As for fixing the issue, it seems that if I turn on 'dispose', the animation will play properly in Internet Explorer (rather than be very laggy) but it will still play stupidly in Chrome or Firefox on a Win7 machine. I'm fairly certain that WinXP does fine regardless of browser, but I'll switch the Master to automatically use 'dispose' (look it up, it's a weird option regarding transparency, even when transparency is not used)

And, so far no one has tried creating or editing frames except for me. Someone else might be fiddling with it, but there's nothing yet. Mostly it'll consist of editing existing frames to give new branch points. Creating the sequences tends to be fairly easy, though even having decoded the old one, I'm still not very good at getting the timing 'just right'.

Infranview works moderately well at regulating the speed, but I think that one still plays it a little fast. You can at least zoom in with it. And on Internet Explorer, you can also zoom. If I had the right addons, I could possibly export as a Flash animation, but I don't think I can. :(

Hey~

New stuff coming soonish. I found something that we were missing in the list of options - Nose twitching / nostril flaring. It exists as part of certain things (pepper shaker segments / adult sneeze segment) but not as an individual frame manipulation for using during pauses. I've gotten one of them done so far, and I think the others will be great as I add them.

I also added a pepper shake B4 (closed eyes) variant, and am in the process of making as long of a wolfie clip as I possibly can. When it's all done with, I may have to have it converted to flash so that it plays properly for people. Heh. :D

Interesting that you mention flash. When you have watched these clips as much as I have, you start to get a little annoyed with the predictability. :P

Then it hit me, if we could convert the individual segment animations in to flash, it should be possible to script a flash file that procedurally generates an unpredictable pattern of sneezes/nose twitches/flares that could be used to make a sneeze torture session of unbound length. I'd be quite keen to make an attempt if I didn't hate using gimp for anything more serious than pixel art.

That's a thought similar to one I've had. Rather, exactly like one I've had. Though I know nothing about Flash, I do feel it's something that's possible. Have it generate minor percent values at random on different fields based on which frame it picks, and cod e in what frames it can branch to like how the PSD lists. Have options at the start such as messy / adult / clean-only, etc, and/or a button in-'game' for peppering.

It's possible, I just would not be able to do it. ^_^; As far as this vs pixel art, it's pretty much the same. I'm just zooming in to 600% and copy/pasting stuff and making minor pixel-based edits of things.

I decided to mess around with this again. I didn't add anything new to it. I'm not that good, but I did create a short animation with the file. I hope you all enjoy.

After five whole years, there's a small update! I just added "Tamed" versions of the original Wolfie animations. In the tamed versions, you will find the snot removed and the orgasm in the adult version toned down to be less graphic. The animations should be the same, otherwise.

My next goal will be to create versions that have better timing on modern machines. The original animations were intended for Windows XP or older systems, and would run somewhat slowly. On modern computers, the animation plays much too fast with the same listed timing. On Windows 7, the animation had to be opened within Internet Explorer in order to maintain something close to the original timing. Chrome and Firefox would offer a different speed on the playback.
