A lot of the noses I like are too spread out...and for some reason different noses I like for different reasons that I'm not sure why. I love the scene where the Elephant Matriarch gently tickles his tiny trunk, he crosses his eyes as his tickly lil trunk starts to wiggle and twitch, and then it curls up tighter and tighter as he builds up and gets sneezier and sneezier. ;D

And....I know this particular character isn't "furry," per se, but I've always loved Susie the little blue coupe's nose.

It's just so cute, isn't it? It's all snubby and pointed at the very tip, and I've always imagined it would be fun to tickle it with a nice, soft feather, or just by ever-so-gently running one or two fingers over and around it in playful, tickly gestures. I'm almost positive Susie has quite the sensitive, ticklish nose, and enjoys nose tickles a lot. ;D

Oh man, I LOVE Snot Rod. :D He's one of my fav Cars from the movie, pretty much bcuz he sneezes so much. :) I also love Mater's sneeze at the end when he finds his hood again after 20 years.

Post by: DownyFeathers on February 18, 2015, 04:52:59 PM: SnEeZy and Tedster, I agree that Bitzer's got a pretty big nose....Sad thing is, I've watched many episodes of Shaun the Sheep up to this point, and have never seen Bitzer sneeze, not even once. :/ He sniffs at things, wrinkles and even blows his nose on a couple of occasions, but that's it. You'd think he'd HAVE to sneeze at some point, given that he lives on a farm, with all the hay, dust, crops, feathers, animal hair and mold that entails.

I just started thinking about this recently. How would you make one of the Cars sneeze exactly? Just... shake pepper under their hood or something? XD

Scooby Doo is probably THE KING of animated sneezes and is very likely the whole reason many of us even know about our fetish! I remember memorizing the episodes' titles so that I always knew which ones included sneezing. Large nose, great build-ups, explosive finish, inappropriate timing...I could go on and on about this dog for hours!

I think Dog has the better nose between them, but I am rather biased towards canines anyway. ;D I remember an episode where Dog got sick and was sneezing from beginning to end! I can't remember if Cat ever sneezed during the show, though.

Not only do I think Nails has a cute nose, I also think he's a very cute little animated spider. :) I was looking through Youtube for cartoon sneezes one night and happened to find a Sneeze of Doom video centered around Nails' rather inconvenient cloud allergy that kicks up while he and his partner are having to scale the side of a building...

For real tho, I just wanna *honk* that adorable, shiny red nose of hi - whoops, looks like early 90s Brad Pitt beat me to it. ;D

Nails' first sneeze actually entails his flying off the side of the building while Frank Harris (played by Brad Pitt) plunges downward, only to be caught again by Nails in the nick of time....Nails smiles down at Harris apologetically while Harris glares up at him (although in all fairness, if I'd just started hurtling to the ground b/c my anthro spider partner sneezed and let me go, I wouldn't really be a happy lil camper either....no matter how stinkin' cute he is. :)).

Once they finish scaling the building, Nails lets out another equally powerful sneeze that sends him crashing thru a window, yet he responds to what would ordinarily be a rather harrowing situation by announcing cheerfully, "That felt smashingly good! SMASHINGLY!" (that's why I love this lil guy so much; literally nothing can put him in a bad mood). :) Whether he's referring to crashing thru a 100th-story window or having an exceptionally satisfying sneeze, I am unsure....I pick the latter tho, cuz it's so cute. :)

Apparently there was also an SNES game for Cool World in which Nails will actually assist one of the avatars in climbing the side of a building like in the film - some of the obstacles are renegade clouds that hover around as Nails makes his ascent. If hit by one of the clouds, Nails goes "Achoo! Achoo!" and slides back down.

....I also recently found out that there's a bit of a continuity error in the official DC comics adaptation of the movie where Harris and Nails scale the building without any problems, and Nails asks Harris, "Did I ever tell you about the great 3-day cloud climbing expedition I was on?" And I'm just like, "Ummmmm.....wouldn't you have been sneezing a lot, Nails?.......wait, on second thought, tell me more about that!" XD

I really liked Nails in "Cool World," even if the rest of it didn't really hold my attention very much...would have loved to have seen more of him...and his sneezes. ;)

Krookodile from Pokemon. Definitely got a great snout. :) Sadly, haven't seen him sneeze yet in the show. Although, when Ash's Krookodile was in a previously evolved form (Sandile), he sneezed in a couple of episodes. from having his nose tickled. Once by Pikachu's ear, and once by a Ducklett wing.

He has a pretty good nose in his previous forms too, as Sandile and Krokorok. But, I think this would have to be my fave.

Dragonite was one of my favorite Pokémon growing up, and in the anime (at least Iris's Dragonite) was voiced very well, would love a sneeze from the adorable big guy! ;D

I know that since she's a fish, her nose isn't like a nose in the conventional sense (no nostrils, etc) but I still think it's very cute. I love that adorable, youthful dusting of freckles she has, right across the bridge.

I also had this book based on the movie when I was younger, and one of my favorite illustrations shows the aftermath of Dory getting hit in the nose with a scuba diving mask:

I was 11 years old and was yet unaware that there was a name for the "thing" I had for sneezing anthro/animated characters (or noses in general), and I always opened the book to that particular page and just looked at it, trying to cement the image in the center of my mind responsible for my photographic memory/visual thinking (Although it's mentioned in the text, the image of Dory is devoid of the blood that prompts the shark character to start craving fish again - I was always happy about that, since I don't like idea of Dory being hurt). I'm not sure why this particular image of Dory fascinated me as much as it did, since there's no actual sneezing....I think it's because that when you take the image out of context, Dory could be holding her nose for a multitude of reasons....allergies, a cold, etc. Or maybe someone with too much time on their hands finally took that cheesy joke seriously and put pepper in the usually salted sea water. XD

A little unrelated, but still tying into the topic & old cartoons in general. I had this really bizarre dream the other night of Bugs Bunny being tortured by some unknown entity via being forced to have a cold, and while the look of his nostrils flaring were more reminiscent of Pluto's, (https://animationreview.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/bone-bandit-c2a9-walt-disney.jpg) the actual look of his flared nostrils and animation in a short where he ACTUALLY has to sneeze are pretty damn fine.

I'm not huge into a good number of these classical characters' nose designs, (Pluto included; I don't have a thing for him like some members do, and what such a specific reference to his nostril's look was doing in my dream is still puzzling to me. To put it in perspective: there were Smurfs somewhere at the end of it, too. This dream didn't make sense in the slightest.) but jeez... someone's gotta be given credit for making something so simple look so good.

Have to agree, honestly. (And personally, being familiar with her VA's other work really fuels this as well.)

Scooby Doo is probably THE KING of animated sneezes and is very likely the whole reason many of us even know about our fetish! I remember memorizing the episodes' titles so that I always knew which ones included sneezing. Large nose, great build-ups, explosive finish, inappropriate timing...I could go on and on about this dog for hours!

Yes, I think that Scooby's nose is AWESOME - very big and very sensitive! And I think that it would be even better, if his nostrils were more visible (And if they were already visible, then in my opinion they should also be really big)!

Although those raccoons are not the main characters on Harvey Street Kids which is the show they are from. The main characters on the show are actually three human girls named Audrey, Dot, and Lotta. Also Harvey Street Kids is a show on Netflix by Dreamworks that is based on the Harvey Comics that were popular from the 50's and 60's.
