This is the thread for the old Maxie game.
Please see http://sneezefurs.org/index.php?topic=2565 (http://sneezefurs.org/index.php?topic=2565) for the updated, bigger, better version.

The game is pretty fun! Its more interesting than the last one, cause you have to FIND items and the victim instead of them just being there. :3 Good work!
-
Well, I figured it would make the game last longer and provide more of an appeal to people who werent just looking for instant gratification. *hugs ya* I hope the fun parts are written better in this game too, like to think I have improved. :3
-
Wow! This is great. Hawt, and witty too. Thank you.
Wilykat.-
-
This was great! Nice job!
-
This is an amazing game. I love anthros and the sneeze scenarios are very well written. Very nice balance of entertainment and fetish added. Thank you for this.
-
Savefile up and left - it's now savefile.org and all their stuff's still not working =\
-
I didn't have a chance to save it before it went down either, any possibility someone could put it up again? :)
-
Oh dear, sorry guys! I better get it uploaded again, but it's on my other PC so it will have to wait till next week at least. Watch this space though folks.

This might be what you're looking for:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CK220P21 (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CK220P21)
-
Oh good, that one's still online somewhere :3 is the first one still kicking around? or am I gonna have to upload it again, assuming there's still interest in it.
edit: that one has its own thread and I believe the file is still intact
-
says its temporarily unavailable :(

says its temporarily unavailable :(
It seems to be working now :)
-
This game is AWESOME, good job! I've written a couple text adventures too (not sneezing or anything) but its hard to find people who like interactive fiction these days it seems...I've meant to try the multiple choice type.
-
Multiple choice on it isn't TOO hard, aside from coming up with options. :) Maybe you can give multiple choice a go with sneezing? These are always really fun to play :P
-
Well I should do *something*. I'm sitting on a creative writing degree from the University of Southern California that cost me a fortune (I'm still paying it off and I'm 35 now) and never write anymore. :P
-
Ouch! Well, definitely should write something! Especially if you've got the talent for it. We don't have enough writers around here, for sure.
-
with savefile gone, i don't suppose anyone could bring it back up again? never had the chance to see this game firsthand.
-

thanks bud :D
-
:o OMG!!! This game is awesome!!! I love it. Such suspense! And I absolutely love how descriptive you were with the sneezes...huge buildups and everything. Thanks so much for making this. Btw, great job with the programming. This must have taken quite a bit of time. What did you use? Java? Just wondering.
Oh and, love ur drawings. They're the best. ;)
-
Hay why can't I get it to laod on my Mac. What do I need to do? I would love to see what all the rave is about. I want to play too. :(
-
Well... you know... it might not be compatible with a mac.
Just an uneducated guess.
-
I have never been able to make it work with my Mac either. It has made me really sad. I've never been able to get it too work, so I've never experienced this before. :(
-
You need some sort of windows emulation or virtual boxing software, such as bootcamp for mac.
And Ambereyes needs a slap on the wrist for not coding cross platform :p
-
lol, make it an adventure game in the vein of sierra/lucasarts or something. :P stuff like scummvm or dosbox should run on either, doesn't it?
-
It should run fine under dosbox, which is available for all platforms. I currently use a mac (but when I wrote these games I was using Qbasic in DOS(!) And yeah, I hate when someone writes something just for windows, but thats not half as bad as writing something for microsoft .net (which I cant even get to run under emulation)
The current distributed versions were re-coded in Freebasic but i'm fairly sure the resulting .EXE file still runs under pure dos (and thus can be run in dosbox, without having to use windoze)
Sorry for taking so long to respond to this issue, i'm not good with forums and so I tend not to be up to date with anything new happening X(
-
i call for a sequel!
-
I call for a free text-based programming language I can easily learn that has a mac IDE... then maybe it's sequel time!

better still, wonder if we can rally a crew to make a game done in the same vein as Inherit the Earth. (http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/inherittheearth/inherittheearth.htm) also runs on mac. :]

I used to tinker with AGS a while ago, but it definitely doesn't meet the mac criteria - it's .NET powered so it will only run under (real) windows. Like I mentioned before I have a real gripe with .NET at least the games I programmed will run easily in dosbox on a mac.
Clickteam's Multimedia fusion and related software would be a nice candidate for a graphical sneeze game (and indeed I once considered it) but again its a windows program for making windows programs. not good if you don't happen to use windows. I think dos is a reasonable compromise really because it can be emulated very easily on any platform ;)
-
If you just wanna do basically an interactive story (which is all this game really is), Writing.com's interactive story feature is a pretty good place to do that. And multiple people can even collaborate to write different paths simultaneously.
Like this great sneeze-filled story:

-
eh, for something like that, i can just roleplay someplace, lol. it's too easy to spam the place and post bs. (i tried once; lasted a few months before it finally got removed)
-
Incredibly broken, but! it's a Flash game that's basically like your dealie, a text adventure. And I KNOW Flash works on Macs. Maybe ask this person for tips or give Flash a try in some manner.

Edit: Here's a torrent for the program he says he used - https://ca.isohunt.com/download/36024222/adobe+flex.torrent
Edit edit: That was a PC torrent. Bah. Guy linked me this, though - http://www.flashdevelop.org/wikidocs/index.php?title=Main_Page states VM compatibility.
-
".NET" and "virtual machine" don't exactly spell out "multiplatform" to me ;)
-
Have you checked out Inform? Free, as English-like as possible, and interpreters are available for all platforms.
http://www.inform-fiction.org/I7/Welcome.html
I've played with it a bit, but never got anything worthwhile finished.
-
lol
RPG Maker 2000. :D

Now this does look promising. I'll download and have a play with it see if I can come up with anything useful.
lol
RPG Maker 2000. :D
you go boom now. rocket find house.
-
awww, xD I like RPGMaker 2000!
of course, we'd have to find fitting sprites and icons for the characters. but hey, that's what artists are for. :D voice acting and everything.
can anyone else do it? SneezeFurs group project effort or something
-
I'd always be up to do some voice acting!
-
i wouldn't be able to draw, but i'd offer services for character design or helping writing the script.
i don't want to risk finding the game as the last few times i had gotten it, i risked a virus. but if anyone can find it clean, let's make some magic with this!
-
awww, xD I like RPGMaker 2000!
Heh I had assumed you'd know what I meant; RPGmaker 2000 is more windoze-only software and the subject in hand when you posted was making a multiplatform game. Hence your untimely demise by explosives ;)
can anyone else do it? SneezeFurs group project effort or something
While liking the sound of a group effort, I have seen 'group project' turn into 'bitching contest' all too many times. Either way, I think this idea warrants a seperate thread if there isn't one already. I think it could work well if everyone can decide on a common set of formats etc.
-
I don't know how to upload this...is it free? Also, everyone says this game is pretty good, but who's the character...or characters...that are in here?
-
Could some one please re-post this game.
The previous links no longer work. (Obviously. Megaupload no longer exists.)
Please. and thank you.
-
i'm still in favor of an eventual big sequel with graphics and sounds and everything. 'windoze' or not. :V i'm not really into the 'big mac', lol.
i don't think the members will bicker about what goes in. not like the sneeze fetish community can argue as long as one of each variant of the sneeze is supplied. if they want more, they can gladly write a fic or draw a picture for it, lol.
your explosives fear me not. :V
