Books and Comics / Heads (Unknown, Elephant, Tickling, Messy)
« on: March 22, 2019, 04:35:14 AM »
Found a rather interesting one in a picture book called Heads by Matthew Van Fleet. (See here.) I've posted two images, but the funny thing about this one is that in order to properly "experience" it, you really have to have the book itself. See, the book has pull tabs, and you pull the tab to "make" the elephant sneeze. (Though I suppose you could sorta create the same effect by clicking between tabs on your browser.)

Books and Comics / If You Give a Mouse a Brownie (M, Mouse, Wetness)
« on: September 14, 2018, 02:12:29 AM »
Been a while since I've found anything in a picture book, but found this while reading If You Give a Mouse a Brownie, a followup to the classic If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (now a TV series on Amazon) and the first sequel in the series to feature the Mouse character instead of another animal. Anyway, if you give a mouse a brownie, a madcap series of events will lead to him wanting to throw a rock concert. While putting up the flyers for it, it rains, and if it does, he might make a paper boat out of one of the flyers and get so wet, it causes him to sneeze.

Okay, so I checked and it looks like the file I have right now is too large to upload normally. However, I could split it using a service called 7Zip, though you would need that software in order to reassemble it. It's free to get. Would you like me to do that?

Yeah, you're right. Okay, well, I'll just see then about posting the copy which I have saved in HD. Stay tuned...

For the record, this is now on YouTube -

I also have a copy on my own computer, in HD, that I can post by request.

Hmm, I don't recall Maisy being native widescreen, which makes me wonder if this really is official. Still, very nice. Thanks for posting it.

Nice one. That's the rabbit from Sofia the First - I like that show, though it's been a while since I watched it.

Just recently discovered this cute little cartoon on DVD, and quickly found this online -

Nelly & Caesar want to go outside and play in the snow, but the mouse Nelly can't because she has a cold. Sneezes at 0:30, 1:31, 2:13 and 4:04.

Got two from this charmer of a film that is currently the best reviewed film ever at Rotten Tomatoes:

2:29 - baby Paddington, after being fished out of the river by Aunt Lucy, sneezes, likely due to being "wet/cold." She describes him as "rather small and rather sneezy, but he likes his marmalade."

1:26:10 - Paddington, riding atop a train, emerges from a tunnel and sneezes away coal dust that's covering his face.

I Found Something! / Llama Llama (M+F, Llamas and Sheep)
« on: April 12, 2018, 03:28:38 AM »
Right, I've been sitting on this for a while, but around of January, Netflix released its animated television series based on the Llama Llama books. Those that follow the books section will likely know about Llama Llama Home with Mama in which both little Llama and his Mama Llama are home sick with a cold. Well, the television series adapts the story for the television format - a bit more realistically too. In this installment, Llama just starting to get over his cold, but is still sneezing and stuff a fair bit and has to stay home one more day. At the end of the story, Mama is coming down with it.

Llama Llama - 12:18, 11:42 (three in a row), 9:43 (held sneeze, and hilarious face as he does so), 9:31, 9:25 (also seen in the show's intro) 7:26

Mama Llama - 2:19, 2:13 (three in a row, rapid-fire), 2:02 (four in a row this time)

We've also got "Sleepover at Gilroy's" - in this one, Euclid (a sheep) is up late with allergies.

15:17, 15:11, 15:07, 15:02 (offscreen), 14:59

Note - all times listed are times remaining in the respective episodes rather than the time into them, because that's how Netfix displays it to me. Also, as far as I know right now this is only on Netflix, being a Netflix Original - I don't know of any other place to find it, other than that the theme song is here - and here's a clip of "Home With Mama" here - - but I believe with only one sneeze.

So this series was just posted to Amazon the other day after only being a couple of specials for quite a while. Episode 10 is "Something to Squawk About / If You Give a Moose a Cold, though the title display at the beginning reads simply "Sick Day." All of Oliver and Mouse's friends - Moose, Pig, Dog and Cat get a cold and there are sneezes from three out of four of them.

Moose - 11:48, 14:40

Pig - 15:06 (offscreen), 15:23 (double)

Dog - 18:33

Also,  beginning 15:49, a scene-changer depicted many boxes of tissues is used, and each time it's accompanied by a high-itched sneeze.

As far as I know, this is only available on Amazon right now, for those either on Prime or Amazon Video.

I Found Something! / Little Wolf's Book of Badness [M, Wolf, Allergy]
« on: September 24, 2017, 01:20:56 AM »
When Little Wolf's parents find that lately he's been being too good - doing stuff like brushing his teeth and fur and going to bed early without being asked, they decide to send him to be schooled by his uncle, Bigbad, to learn the 9 rules of badness.

During his adventure, Little Wolf encounters a fox named Mr. Twister who seems to have it out for Bigbad. He's also apparently allergic to him because every time he encounters him, he sneezes.

Sneezes at 3:33, 3:45, 16:56, 22:59

The special is available on DVD, for those that have Prime/Amazon Video, or at cost on YouTube and other services. Don't know of any free video currently, other than the Amazon one, and I don't think we have any to download off of that.

When the Grumpy Bunny is asked to play Santa Claus for a group of young bunnies by his crush, Lilac, he reluctantly agrees, but finds it to some degree a hassle because his feet are tired, the kids are sometimes cranky, and one of them sneezes on his beard. Not really sure why, though it may be because the beard is tickly.

Hmm. Reminds me a bit of the sort of thing you might see on Sesame Street, or have seen on Between the Lions, but British. Which is probably why I've never seen it before. Thanks. Good stuff.

Seems at some point Hulu added a new batch of episodes of this show. I'm watching the first episode of the second season now and found this. Zou and one his friends are playing knights, with Zou's grandpa as a wizard. They're pretending to sneak past a dragon, which is actually Zou's bird, Poc, but the grandpa sneezes, waking the "dragon." Happens around 5:02.

The show airs on Sprout in the United States.

Hulu -

I haven't been able to find any other video and since I don't know if it's possible for anyone here to download stuff from Hulu, I'll mark this as "unlocated" for now.

French cat is much better than English cat. Though outside of the cat sneeze I don't feel it properly fits the website. :)
Hrm, maybe. We did give Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends a pass, though, and those characters are bugs.

Can't download video from Amazon, but I don't mind downloading the YouTube video and reposting it if you want me to.

Yeah, I started the original topic, but I'm glad to see other people enjoying the show. I mean, come on, a children's cartoon in which every episode uses a song by The Beatles.  :) I know there are at least one or two sneezes in episodes before that one and I've been meaning go back and search.

I Found Something! / We're Going On a Bear Hunt (U, Bear, Cold)

A special I discovered on Amazon, based on a popular children's picture book. When a girl named Rosie is told that there are no bears in the area of her home by her older brother, Stan, she asks how he can know if he's never been out looking for them. So she, he, their dog and other siblings all go out on a bear hunt, over hills and through streams ("Can't go over it, can't go under it, gotta go through it"), perhaps never expecting to actually find one. When Rosie does encounter the fearsome bear in a dark cave, what does it do? It sneezes, apparently because it's cold. She gives it a tissue and shares food with it and they are soon happily snuggling together. Sneezes at 16:08 and 16:19.

Special available by searching by title on Amazon, YouTube video here -
