Final Fantasy VII

So, anyone else here play any Final Fantasy? They put out the trailer for the upcoming PS4 HD Remake (supposedly to eventually be ported to other systems) and I gotta say, so far I'm tentatively excited. It sure looks neat and like the combat system could be fun. I just hope a lot of the quirky things that made the original so fun remain in there as well. I guess time will tell.

It's been quite a while since I've played an FF game. When they started doing X-2's and stuff, they really lost touch with what made the old games amazing. My personal favorites are FF6, FF7, and FF5. Yeah, I actually liked FF5. Then again, I liked Mystic Quest, too. :P

I liked Final Fantasy X-2. I liked Final Fantasy V also. You know, Final Fantasy X-2's combat system is actually based to a fair degree off V. People like to knock X-2, but personally, I always felt the game had a very strong sense of fun. Though it also had some pretty profound moments as well.

My main problem these days is that classic turn based combat bores me to irritation. >.> I used to love it, but now I find it as painfully slow as a tactics genre game. I would rather play something with more action to it. Undertale and Xenoblade Chronicles both do a good job being actiony without being too convoluted. Though X is certainly complex. |3

Yeah, if that video is anything to judge by, the VII Remake is definitely going to be very "action."

I've been playing final fantasy games for such a long time....the first one I got was VIII, which is still my favorite one. I heard about the 7 remake....but I don't have the money for a ps4.
