Real Life Lounge / A Goodbye to You All
« on: May 09, 2020, 12:34:31 PM »
Edit: In retrospect, I probably should have posted this on Real Life Lounge... but what's done is done.

I guess you can tell from the subject of this topic that you know I'm about to say the dreaded words: I'm leaving Sneezefurs.

Let me share you why. I don't want to be like a number of those people who mysteriously vanished without a trace from the site due to some unnamed issue.

When I first got to Sneezefurs, I read a lot of the stories here. They made me feel good and I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the feeling reading and thinking about sneezing gave me. Soon after I realised I had developed a fetish out of it and my imagination ran wild. I started making content myself, creating stories and testing it out on my art and made friends here, roleplaying with them. It felt unbelievable.

Now, a few years after that, I don't feel that way anymore. It's not that I lost my fetish; that's not something you can just erase from your brain, especially when fetishes have sexual ties to you. It's just that it no longer 'felt' right. It was around that time I suddenly stopped writing stories, because I always kept thinking about it. I tried making several stories but none of them made it to the finish line. It was because of my hesitation, my doubt, my uncertainty, and above all, my guilt.

At the beginning of all this, I embraced these feelings and accepted it as part of my own. A few years from then on, I see that I walked the wrong path. Turns out this place I called a second home no longer felt that way to me. These feelings are personal solely to me and not because someone made me change my mind. I'm not calling any of the others here 'misguided' or 'astray'. I see that you all are set on walking this path and have devoted your hearts out for it, and I respect that. I won't condemn any of you for it, and I won't blame anyone for playing a factor in my fetish's growth.

Finally, I wish to say sorry to all the people I've interacted with, made friends of, and roleplayed with. I know it isn't easy to say goodbye. I also wish to say sorry to everyone who hoped I would write their story suggestions that I've asked for several times. I think, looking back, it was a way for me to find something to cling to in this community, because a piece of me still wants to be here.

But no more. I don't wish to be haunted by these feelings anymore.

To all of you, I say goodbye. This will the last post I make. I'll still reply to anyone who wants to say a parting though, but nothing else.

I was thinking, maybe make a story about a group that goes and cleans the noses of Macros during allergy and cold seasons. But one nose they venture into is a bit too sensitive and during the job, there’s a big sneezing accident or something. Sorry this is so vague, the idea just came to me

It's not a bad idea, I'll keep it in mind. :3 This post will remain open for the time being while I wait to see if anyone else has any ideas.

Has a nice buildup with good description. :3

I don't really consider my scenarios completely "Never seen before" but I do have a have a somewhat unique scenario along with an unrepresented species. Both characters in this scenario are non anthro.
My idea was maybe a wyvern (those dragons with only two legs) chasing a phoenix away from his territory after she accidentally strayed inside, but then both ending up trapped in a cave after a cave in. They then decide to try to work together to escape to get back to their various young. However they discover that the dragon is allergic to feathers, which sort of poof off of the phoenix whenever she sneezes, and she is allergic to the smoke created when the dragon sneezes, creating a sort of vicious cycle, though not deadly since they are both immune to fire. After a bunch of sneezy hijinx ensue, possiblywith the phoenix having to use her feathers to help the wyvern out with a stuck sneeze sometime along the line since I really like that kind of stuff, they finally manage to locate the cave exit and part ways.
So yeah, not "too" unique of a premise, but I did include a unique species, and I think you might have fun with this idea. Would really appreciate it if you did end up going with it, since I think you would do a much better job on it than me.

Hm, it's definitely an interesting idea. Using rare, mythical creatures like a wyvern and phoenix isn't something you find often. I quite like the scenario too. I'll be sure to think about it more thoroughly.

I'd love to hear about more scenarios from other people, so keep it up. :)

Heyo, I'm back :3

Well I've always been here, it's just that I didn't really do much writing since my last story. I know a few of those were left on uncomfortable cliffhangers. :(

I guess I just had a sort of 'existential crisis' regarding this fetish of mine and I needed some time off the site.

But I'm back and I want to pay back you people. So I'm currently accepting story ideas. I think I did this before, but I'm doing it again now. I require a story idea that's unique, special, and revolves around a concept never seen before, whether it's the scenario or even the creature. If I see a decent one I like, I might consider doing it.

Things I WON'T write though:
- Explicit material
- Minors doing the above

I do hope somebody comes with a nice offer. :)

Feathers, then pepper, then reaching inside a bit; wonderful combination of building tickles. Lovely work on the horse nostrils there. Though I guess we'll never find out why the horse lady is so sneezy, maybe it's just one of those stuck sneezes thing. :p

So very true.  Like I just saw the comic above mine with the wolf buried in the sand.  Year's ago and I mean 12-15 years at least someone wrote me a short Scooby fanfic were he is buried at the beach by Shaggy.  Shaggy goes off to get a snack and Scooby is discovered by me  :-[.  He is so helpless that I just had to have fun with his nose and my own hair HEE, HEE, BLUSH.  So thinking of the past and the inspiration of that comic I might just have to make a new Scooby sneeze torture drawing  ;D

Well it's all up to you and your fantasies in the end ;3

Magical, psychic tickles are really something. They can make you sneeze without reason.

Thank you very much CC007.  When ever I draw Scooby Doo, Sonya or anyone else getting ready to sneeze I work on the eye's.  As much as sneezing comes from the nose and I LOVE Scooby's nose.  The look of pre-sneeze desperation always comes from the eye's.
My latest trick to drawing a sneeze like the first of the two I just drew is I first look at sneeze pictures or video's and see if I can find an expression of that wonderful word you used "desperation" and then I try my best to copy the eye's on Scooby Doo.  As strange as it might sound I used eye's of a pretty cartoon woman as the example for Scooby :o.  Checkout this Wonder Woman video on YouTube and pause it at the 19 seconds mark and tell me if it looks familiar ;).  What can I say, I get inspiration for Scooby Doo from the strangest places LOL.

Inspiration can come from anywhere. :3

That expression is very reminiscent of Scooby Doo, so good job on you! I think it looks wonderful, that face is just full of desperation of trying to resist the sneeze. :)

Well I'm not good at drawing with a tablet or an app so unfortunately you'll have to ask someone else.

That wolf is really having a bad day with the feathers.

As one of the people who you are referring to, I must admit I'm disappointed, but I've let that go already. It was also because you were the one who proposed the idea about a collaboration to me, so I found it strange at first you suddenly backed out. Well, I suppose that isn't too important now. Just keep up the good work with the stories and art, and with Orion ;p

Must have decided against it in the end.

Well I mean, I feel dirty for it because I was looking forward to this game so much overall, and then I ended up having this massive imprinting involving the fetish that somewhat overrides the intended experience of the game. It's awkward and even unpleasant when I dwell on it, since the game deserves more than a fetish-high being attached to it. :X

Yeah, I definitely understand that. You're playing through this innocent game and suddenly you found something that others usually don't find appealing and you are really, really triggered by the fact there's a sneeze in the game XD And not to mention that lingering feeling afterwards, yeah.

That anticipation alone was more than enough for me. Guh. I feel dirty for it, too.

It's an unfortunate guilty pleasure that you can't help but feel that way. XD

Writer's Den / Re: [M + Macro + Illness] Big Bad Wolf commission 2

It's a wonderful continuation with amazing buildup and sneezes. Reggie was so desperate to hold back himself, and I can imagine how his snout would scrunch and wiggle. Sounds like there might be more, but guess we'll see.

It's a nice simple comic, great internal shots too. ;p

General Chatter / Re: World Building or Fetish Fun?
« on: February 27, 2020, 04:14:16 AM »
World building iso just as important as fetish fun because it leads up the scenario in the first place. You can get a lot more immersion that way and understand what the world is about. This is especially important if you wanna upload a series of stories within the same universe, but it doesn't mean that one-shots should minimise world building. :3

Glad to see you're feeling more motivated than ever! I'm so glad you've managed to find your footing again on this writing stuff, I'm really happy for you. I know you've been through a lot so it makes me cheery to see you so invigorated.

You don't have to make a release date, but we'll all definitely be on your toes for ya. ;3
