Until such time that I'm able to work out the bot / DDOS issues, all boards except for this one are now hidden from non-members. Unfortunately, this will damage our legitimate search engine traffic, but I'm at a complete loss. Checking the access logs, it's completely random access info. Random IP, random info, non-stop hammering with the same session token for 15 minutes before swapping to a different one.

I do plan on updating the forum, but due to the large amount of work that's going to take, well, I don't have the time to devote to it right now. And with my host breathing down my neck worse than usual, I'm using my last resort to at least try to save the site.

And I hate it.

So, yeah, if there's a furry out there who knows their shit with webhosting etc who can take our site on board and bring it back to life, send me an email.

And yes, site emails are still broken, and so are ' and " from certain mobile devices. I don't know how to fix either. /sigh

Limiting bots and guests is worth doing. It is much better to slow down view numbers instead of getting deleted by the host. This site is a blessing that can be taken away in literally a second.

As an update, it took a few days but bot traffic / the DDOS has stopped for the time being. Today marks a day where there was zero illicit activity taking place. Part of me has to wonder if the DDOS is by HostPapa themselves. Still, that gives me some breathing room in dealing with these long-standing other issues. Forum upgrade and then figuring out the two major bugs - emails and ' / " cutoffs.
